Analysis
Six chapters - Oceans and Seas, Living with Climate, Environmental Pollution, Industrialization and Trade, Transport, and Social and Economic Development - and the most climate-forward book in the whole corpus, with 47 mentions of climate change and 38 of global warming, the 2015 Karachi heatwave, the Thar drought, the 2022 floods, the January 2022 Murree snowstorm and Paris 2015 named at p.41. One discordant passage, "Diverging Views of Global Warming" (p.24), tells pupils warming is not a major issue to most people. It is economy-heavy - textiles at about 60 per cent of exports (p.50), HDI ranking, CPEC and Gwadar framed glowingly (p.74) - and, like Geography 6, has no population or demography chapter. Its opening line, "Water covers 71% of the Earth surface", makes it the clean secular control against Sindh's theologically framed class-8 opener, hence A1 1; A2 5, since civic responsibility appears only as environmental duty assigned to governments (PAGE 41). The A6 of 3 rests almost entirely on the stamped map label "INDIAN ILLEGALLY OCCUPIED JAMMU & KASHMIR" (pp.49, 67, 70) - the volume's one overtly ideological feature. A7 5: zero female-marked tokens in 19,275 words.
